Any suggestions on an unconventional bouquet?

I'm getting married! YAY! My bridesmaids dresses are light blue with brown trim...I originally wanted real flowers....fake look...fake! But I'm having a hard time finding reeal blue flowers that don't look purple compaired to the color of the dresses. I am wanting to know if there are any suggestions for what my bridesmaids could carry instead of flowers...I want them to carry something so they don't have to worry about finding something to do with their hands. If you think it's weird...I might like it! I'm open to any suggestions!!! Thanks in advance!

Any suggestions on an unconventional bouquet?
If it is an evening wedding, you could have them carry votive candles or lanterns. If not, why don't you try white flowers? I am sure they would look beautiful with the dresses. You could do white roses, lilys or daisies.
Reply:i am allergic to flowers so i found someone who made silk flowers they looked very real she even made them look like they had moister on them. she also did my table settings and it was allot cheaper than real flowers.
Reply:How about beaded or crystal flowers? Not only can you get them in the colors you want, but they will make a great keepsake after the wedding.

They really do not look fake at all. There are many colors to choose from.

Reply:A basket with flowers, a decorated wreath, a parasol, just holding one flower like a bird of paradise or something exotic.
Reply:Peacock feathers in with the flowers? (sacred to Hera)

Maybe blue crystals in there?

Or even white flowers with the edges done in blue stardusty stuff?
Reply:bouquets made from Hershey's Kisses? Yumz!

Reply:DIed flowers have the chance of rubbing the color onto clothes...I would be weary of that. There are pleanty of blue flowers that would work and not look to purple. You can do a mix of blue hydrangaes and brown roses...to make it a little more unconvential have them made as a kissing ball that can be held from a ribbon rather then a boquet.
Reply:Have your bridesmaids carry flower balls like this one.
Reply:You might try bead bouquets. The pictures I've seen of them are absolutely gorgeous, and you should be able to pick out beads to match the dresses exactly. I've found several websites with information on how to make them like http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_beads/articl... or just google "bead bouquet."
Reply:You might ask some florists about dyeing flowers. Some florists can dye a white flower to a color that matches the dress. You'd have to take a sample of the color you want with you to the florist.

Another idea is to ask about having white flowers tinted with blue.

Don't know what kind of flowers you are wanting...but daisies look good tinted and so do carnations. :)
