Lillies
What flowers would be good for a bridal bouquet?
I'm having hydrangea, roses and peonies in white and green for my bouquet. And my bridesmaids are carrying the same with more green and adding antique blue hydrangea.
Reply:I couldn't decide for my bouquet, so I let my bridesmaids pick their favorite flower, they carried a bouquet of that flower, and I carried a mixture of all their flowers. It symbolized how a piece of all of them has been an important part of my life that I'll carry with me always! It was beautiful, a mixture of irises, sunflowers, tulips, daisies, roses, and more!
Reply:Pink peonies, Japanese maple, red Dutch roses...
Reply:Mine was a mixture of Lilies, carnations, and roses with greenery and ribbons dangling off the handle. It was really pretty! Especially the Lilies because they smell sooooo good! But ultimately it'll be up to you and what you like! Hope you have a great life w/ your new hubby to be. (if you're the one getting married that is)
Reply:Daisies and roses
Reply:roses, of course
Reply:calla lilies, stephanatos, orchirds, and pink roses
Reply:lillies and roses! Both are beautiful and look great together!
Reply:Tulips
Reply:My favorite is roses... any color you want and just hand tied with some beautiful ribbon. I love that look... plus roses are very sturdy and last a long time! You can also take your bouquet (after the wedding of course) and turn it upside down to dry in a closet... and the will keep beautifully. I still have mine 2 years later. Just my opinion!
Reply:Virtually any flower - if you like it, use it! Pick your color first - do you want all white? do you want to have your colors in too? Answer those questions first, then decide on what you want. Freesia is a great flower for bouquets - it smells nice without being overpowering and it comes in a variety of colors. Roses, orchids and lillies of any variety are always a traditional choice. Sometimes more important than knowing what you want is knowing what you DON'T want. Go to various websites and get ideas for both categories.
Good Luck
Reply:Roses are the most gorgeous especially in white.
Reply:I Love Calla Lillies, Gerber Daisies, Hydrangeas and the good part is they all come in a wonderful array of colors from pastel to vibrant. Google their images.
Best wishes
Reply:Roses
Calla Lilies
Gardenias
Reply:almost any!
Peonies are pretty popular but still different. Lilies and roses are always good. Just stay away from carnations.
Reply:it all depends on the time of the year
Reply:Pick a sturdy flower, not something delicate like orchids that will droop quickly. I am looking at poppies for my boquet with colored boquet jewels.
A good rule of thumb is to look at the stems. The thicker the stem the more hardy the flower and vice versa.
Reply:my aunt had callalillies (im not sure if thats the spelling)
but they looked really pretty
Reply:Pink lilies.
Reply:yes, i agree, tulips, classic and elegant!
